An eclectic mix of designer and non-designer vintage clothing, accessories and jewelry, these are pieces that have caught my discerning eye for their uniqueness, their contemporary feel or their highly collectible nature.

VPOD: Vintage 1970s Leonard Fall Dress



The Leonard label may have been founded in 1958 but it gained life two years later. That’s when Daniel Tribouillard, the chief executive director, patented a new printing technique that allowed knitting with a continuous print. And that’s when one of my favorite labels was born.

Each new Leonard print goes through a complex, intricate, and time-consuming process of creation, engraving, color selection and printing. And of the thousands of print prototypes developed every year, only about a hundred end up being manufactured.

The ones that make the cut are always the creme de la creme, like today’s VPOD. This 1970s Leonard Paris silk wrap maxi dress is just bursting with the rich, sumptuous shades of autumn.

And it’s an easy way to fall for Leonard if you’re a vintage fashionista!
