    Love your posts but you have mixed up your British queens! Queen Victoria was the reigning monarch who wore a white dress to marry Prince Albert in 1840. Queen Elizabeth I (crowned in in 1559) never married and our current Queen Elizabeth II was married in 1947 when she was still a princess, the daughter of King George VI. She became queen in 1952 on the death of her father.
