Just think about it. In Hans Christian Andersen’s famous fairy tale, red shoes took over the peasant girl and made her dance, dance, dance all morning, noon and night. In The Wizard of Oz, ruby red slippers whisked Dorothy back home to Kansas with just three little clicks. Why there’s no telling what today’s VPOD could help YOU accomplish!

There’s a soul in the collection…” – DONNA KARAN
I’m lovin’ Donna Karan’s new elemental tabletop collection designed in conjunction with Lenox and debuting in the March issue of Architectural Digest. All the stemware, dinnerware, flatware and vases are made from porcelain, stoneware, glass, wood and metal and have a very organic, artisanal feel without losing the sleek, smart design aesthetic we’ve come to associate with this fashion design Wunderkid.
Painstakingly created by craftsmen in locations such as Nepal, Vietnam and Thailand, Karan has created a collection that a sophisticated organic fashionista will adore!

When you’ve been in the vintage clothing business as long as I have, it’s inevitable that you will see the same vintage clothing item show up more than once. And it’s always surprising when it does. I often think, “Amazing! I used to own that dress,” or “I remember seeing that dress a few years back in a vintage shop.”
Now certainly the chances of you donning a vintage ready-to-wear item and seeing someone wearing the same piece as you is infinitesimally low. In fact, it will probably never happen during your lifetime! But it is possible.
Of course, you won’t have that concern with today’s VPOD. This is truly a one-of-a-kind piece that was produced for the Ungaro runway in the 1980s and then was too expensive to put into production.
Created from white rabbit fur and hand-painted leather in an abstract print, this amazing vintage coat features wide lapels that sparkle with iridescent beads and paillettes and a matching belt that extends the theme with fur on one side and leather on the other.
It’s a magnificent find for a vintage fashionista!

I’m just lovin’ these creative one-of-a-kind collages by Denise Fiedler, handcrafted from vintage papers with tremendous attention to detail.
The hardest part will be deciding where to hang ’em! They’d look fab in a fashionista’s office or dressing area and they made fantastic gifts for fashionistas as well.
And while my favorites are, of course, the fashion images, Denise also creates images of animals, chairs, and architecture and will even design a custom portrait of you or your dog!
