It’s amazing how sometimes the energy of a dress just matches your energy perfectly. How it hugs your body like a glove. How it hits in all the right places. How it makes you feel almost as comfortable as you do in your own skin.

If you love this feeling, then I encourage you to explore the fashion world of Jean Muir.

This British designer died in 1995 but she left behind a wonderful collection of vintage dresses known for their simple, flattering, feminine shapes. And perhaps that’s because Jean Muir herself made sure to slip into each one during her fittings. She insisted this was the only way to feel if there was something wrong in the design. And this attention to detail, and this dedication to the comfort of women everywhere, is worth celebrating.

Today’s VPOD features a yummy vintage tweed Jean Muir dress with leather trim and leather belt. Buttons down the back and concealed side pockets add extra charm.
