Machine Age design developed in the 1920s and was characterized by the use of industrial materials like metal, glass, and plastics. And when it came to the jewelry of the era, the German designer Jacob Bengel was considered a master.
Today’s VPOD is just one stunning example of his work. And while this 1930s piece doesn’t feature the galalith, or moonstone, for which many of his pieces are known, its outstanding combination of chrome and plastic is still going to turn some heads.
It’s a fabulous and collectible find for a vintage fashionista!
