Just because I don’t carry vintage shoes in my online boutique doesn’t mean I’m averse to wearing them. Oh no, no, no! On the contrary, I have plenty of vintage heels and even a few flats kicking around in my shoe drawers. (Yes, you read that right, I store my shoes in drawers.)
And I tend to mix and match. If I’m wearing a modern dress I’ll wear vintage shoes, and if I’m wearing a primarily vintage outfit, I’ll choose a more modern pair of shoes to balance things out.
But if you feel a bit shy about putting your toes where others have gone before, then check out what Quinn Asteak has to say on the subject in this vintage episode of Girls Gone Styled:
See, there’s absolutely nothing to be afraid of! And if you make friends with a great cobbler, he or she will be able to work magic on your vintage shoe finds by polishing, stretching, and tightening to perfection.
Today’s VPOD features a fantabulous pair of vintage 1970s metallic heels by Halston to get you drooling. They glimmer with style and are done in a neutral shade that’s not too glitzy for day but certainly appropriate for evening.
And that makes them a double-duty find for a vintage fashionista!
Available at Catbooks1940s.
