VPOD: Vintage 1980s Louis Feraud Buzzing Like Neon Dress

John Mayer has a song which talks about a woman “buzzing just like neon.” But this Spring, fashionistas are buzzing about neon.

I have to admit this throwback to the 1980s doesn’t thrill me–I’m more a neutral kind of gal–but I do love the way just a touch of neon can spice up those neutrals.

Take today’s VPOD for instance. This vintage tri-color jersey dress by Louis Feraud anchors the bright neons that Spring requires with classic black and a soft cut and drape.

It’s a bit of Spring zing for a vintage fashionista!

VPOD: Fearless Feraud

Here in the US, Louis Feraud is perhaps best known for his suits and dresses seen on the iconic 1980s television shows Dallas and Dynasty. But his popularity in Europe began much earlier when Brigitte Bardot wore one of his dresses followed by celebrities like Kim Novak, Catherine Deneuve and Madame Mitterand.

Today’s VPOD features a 1960s jersey mini dress that displays Feraud’s love of color. He called fashion an “opportunity to be chic” and here, hot pink, vibrant blue and red graphics are set off against black in a sexy little number that allows you to do just that.

It’s a fearless find for a vintage fashionista!
