The first major Hawaiian clothing company was Kamehameha founded over 70 years ago in 1936. The company’s trademark has always been brightly colored designs the vast majority of which are made of cotton. But not all of their pieces feature characteristic palm trees and pineapples. Just take a look at today’s VPOD.
This 1970s jersey knit dress features an op-art wave print in the most luscious shades of cocoa, royal purple, black and white. It’s sheer shoulder overlay gives it a caftan-like feel and its eye-catching print creates a chic sense of island glamour.
It’s a Hawaiian find with a contemporary look for a vintage fashionista!
Available at Dorothea’s Closet.
