From October 13-16, the landmark exhibition The Collection of Elizabeth Taylor will be on display at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles and I can hardly wait to go visit!

When Elizabeth Taylor passed away in March, she left behind a treasure trove or jewels, fine art and couture which will be auctioned at Christie’s in New York (December) and London (February). But before the sales, her treasures will be available for public viewing around the world as the international tour hits Los Angeles as well as Moscow, London, Dubai, Geneva and Hong Kong.

And while others will be blinded by the bling of the famous 33.19-carat diamond that Richard Burton gave to Elizabeth Taylor (expected to fetch between $2.5 million and $3.5 million at auction!), I suspect I’ll be more enthralled with the gorgeous frocks from Halston, Chanel, Versace, Dior, Pucci, and Valentino.

If you’re unable to view the collection in person, don’t fret. Christie’s dedicated website features some beautiful highlights. Or splurge on an auction catalog and enjoy the entire collection in the privacy of your home.

And if you want to get in on the fun of bidding, Christie’s is also offering more moderately-priced items in a special online-only auction.

It’s an exciting exhibition and sale for a Vintage Crusader!
