VPOD: Vintage 1960s Let’s Talk Trigere Suit

It’s been said that Pauline Trigere never tried to dress a woman that she didn’t understand. And let’s just say that she understood us well. Possessing what has been described as an “awe-inspiring” cutting technique, she was still demonstrating her skills to fashion students at FIT just months before her death at the age of 93.

A three-time winner of the Coty American Fashion Critics’ Award, she was known for her exquisite tailoring and pioneering use of wool in evening wear. But her extraordinary skills were also evident in daywear, as in today’s VPOD.

This 1960s wool ensemble in periwinkle blue has the cut, the fit, and the style that only Pauline Trigere could assemble.

It’s a true Trigere treasure for a vintage fashionista!
