While most folks would fill in the blank with Shakespeare or maybe Juliet, true vintage fashionistas would shout out: Gigli!

Romeo Gigli was born in Italy and is considered by some to be one of the most influential designers of the late 1980s. Take a look at today’s VPOD and you’ll see why.

This raw silk jacket with oversized collar has a soft sculptural quality that is a perfect example of Gigli’s subtle, sophisticated designs. I love that you could work this piece for day or evening and if you’re still not in love, keep in mind that jade green is one of the hottest shades for Fall 2009.
