VPOD: Lilac Princess

Contrarian thinking says that one should always take a position that is opposite to that of the masses. And I like to think of myself as a fashion contrarian. So, for instance, if every fashion magazine has layouts featuring deep jewel-colored dresses, then I’ll choose something like today’s VPOD for my next soiree.

This ultra-feminine vintage chiffon dress has a fantastic ruched bust and rhinestone spaghetti straps all done up in two tones of lilac. Can you think of a better way to stand out in a sea of emerald green, amethyst and sapphire?

It’s a beautiful pastel find for a vintage fashionista!

Available at Unique Boutique NYC.

im of the same opinion that to dress differently is to express individuality. Last week I bought a Guayabera shirt from http://www.devoted2vintage.co.uk wore it this weekend and saw noone who was wearing anything similar. Did I stand out? well not in an obvious way but to the trained eye i was a little different and showed some sense of style. On top of that I probably paid half of price that most of the high street shirt wearers paid and the shirt will last longer and remain in style for ever
