VPOD: Madame Secretary

It’s that time of year again. Another class of college graduates is preparing to join the work force. And grads, that means leaving spaghetti straps, sheer blouses, cleavage-revealing tops and your tent mini-dresses behind. While many offices have relaxed their dress codes, to make it to the top and break through the glass ceiling, you’ll need to dress with dignity and decorum. But that doesn’t mean you’ll have to resort to boring ol’ suits.

It’s possible to be buttoned up and chic at the same time. Just take a look at today’s VPOD. This 1950s tailored navy dress by Suzy Perette is a perfect office look with exquisite tailoring and an adorable little bolero. While it might be described as a “secretary dress,” this little gal is headed for a seat in the corporate boardroom in no time.

It’s a beautiful and appropriate find for an upwardly mobile vintage fashionista!

Available at Olive’s Very Vintage.
