VPOD: Cocktail Chic

Oscar de la Renta is one of my all-time favorite designers. And you can’t miss his work from Spring 2007. In just the past few days, I’ve seen his bright yellow gown with the bold black floral print featured in the editorial pages of two fashion magazines and I spied a woman wearing his bright red poppy print while driving through Beverly Hills.

But while I love Oscar’s work, I hate being the trend. So I might choose something along the lines of today’s VPOD. It’s still a bold floral print but it’s done in browns and blacks.

This unlabeled 1960s cocktail dress is tres chic with a nylon bodice, black glass beads that outline the motif and a rolled cord belt.

It’s a fabulous cocktail choice for a vintage fashionista!

Available at Kakoii Mono.
