VPOD: Fab Famolares


Famolare has been making shoes for over 25 years. The Smithsonian Museum in Washington, D.C. has Famolare shoes on permanent dispaly and they’re part of the permanent collections at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the Cincinnati Museum of Art.

Famolare’s trademark is the patented “4-Wave Sole,” which achieves tremendous comfort by supplementing the natural support of the foot. Plus, of course, they look great!

These cherry-red leather Mary Jane Famolares are from the 1970s and feature that famous waved crepe rubber sole. They’re both comfy and hip for a vintage fashionista!
