Zuburbia HOME: Mary McDonald’s Office

I spied this oh-so-pretty office pic in a 2006 issue of Domino Magazine. The lucky lady who works here? That would be the talented L.A. interior designer, Mary McDonald.

Her inspiration for the space? A 1950s Christian Dior dress salon.

One of her fab ideas to grab for your own? The framed pages of fashion photos ripped out of fashion books.

She called the photo arrangement “premeditated whimsy,” confessing it took her hours to find the right images and arrange them on the wall in just the right layout.

Of course, if you select used vintage frames from your local thrift or flea market, this could be an economical and eco-conscious project as well.

What beautiful inspiration for a vintage fashionista!
