Over 100 million American tuned in to the watch the Super Bowl yesterday but I wasn’t one of them.

That means I not only missed all the athletic action on the field and all the high-priced commercials but also the much-talked-about National Anthem performance by Christina Aguilera.

And while I didn’t have any bets riding on either of the teams and wasn’t rooting for either team to win, I do have a clear favorite when it comes to the team colors.

Give me a choice between the green and gold of the Packers or the black and gold of the Steelers and, at least in the moment, I’m leaning toward the green and gold combo.

Take today’s VPOD for instance. This vintage 1950s silk cocktail dress from Saks Fifth Avenue is oh-so-pretty and adding a little gold bling would just make it shine even brighter.
