In Los Angeles, they’re slowly replacing the old-fashioned parking meters that were fed dimes, nickels and quarters with new-fangled models that accept credit and debit cards. Ah, progress!

But that doesn’t mean that I’ll stop saving my dimes, nickels and quarters. Oh, no, no, no.

My parents were raised during the Depression and did everything they could to instill me with their frugal dispositions. So while they’d be quite dismayed to see me carrying my dimes, nickels and quarters in today’s VPOD, I think this vintage Gucci change purse is a perfect incentive to keep me saving for a rainy day!

It’s a luxurious penny-pinching find for a vintage fashionista!
