VPOD: Vintage 1960s Lilli Ann Suede and Knit Mod Coat

Every modern businessperson understands the importance of networking, and today we have social media tools like LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter to make things easier. But the wise businessperson has always realized the power of making the right connections.

Adolph Schuman, founder of the label Lilli Ann, was no exception. After opening his business in San Francisco, he began to actively establish and promote runway shows with Paris. These shows then allowed him to network with Parisian designers, including Chanel and Balenciaga. And these relationships became strong enough that he eventually was able to have Balenciaga provide some anonymous designs for his label as a personal favor. What an example of the power of networking!

Of course, if a gal’s gonna network anywhere outside of cyberspace, she’d better look her best. And today’s VPOD is a sure way to look chic and polished. This mod 1960s coat by Lilli Ann packs a punch in deep gray knit with saffron suede panels and white stripes.

It’s a fab vintage find for a networking vintage fashionista!
