VPOD: Vintage 1940s Emma Domb Bombshell Dress

Emma Domb’s clothing company operated from the 1930s through the 1970s and was most celebrated for its outrageously beautiful evening wear and wedding gowns. But this little lady knew how to design a rockin’ frock, too. Just take a look at today’s VPOD.

While you may only wear an Emma Domb gown once a year, you could tease multiple looks out of this beauty with just a dash of imagination. This 1940s draped bombshell is made of a smooth silk jersey in an ornate grape print. Just check out the amazing criss-crossed ruched bodice which is lined and boned–not something you find much in today’s dresses, right? But oh, what this kind of construction can do for a woman’s figure!

What a seductive and glamorous find for a vintage fashionista!
