Juxtaposition is the conscious positioning or arranging of items side by side to highlight their similarities or differences. And Sally Milgrim accomplishes the task beautifully in today’s VPOD.

As the copy on the website says, “It takes years of collecting to come across a gown this special.” And while there’s no word if this is one of Sally Milgrim’s famous custom designs, there’s no doubt that this lady could juxtapose!

Her choice of the flecked, lightweight wool for the bodice is certainly unexpected and yet, somehow, it is a perfect pairing for the sequin tulle skirt.

And that makes for a genius juxtaposition for a vintage fashionista!
