VPOD: Vintage 1960s Pucci Wild Blue Yonder Dress

My daughter moved from NYC to Chicago about a month ago and one of the things I’ll miss most is being able to fly Virgin America when I visit her. I’m a huge fan, so Mr. Branson, if you’re listening, let’s get a non-stop from LAX to O’Hare pronto!

If you’ve never flown this airline before, you’ll love their mood lighting, the individual entertainment units on the seatbacks and being able to access the Internet at 30,000 feet. I even like the cute skirts with the zippers the flight attendants wear, but I have to say that they just can’t compare to today’s VPOD.

This 1960s dress was designed by Pucci for Brainiff Airlines way back when flight attendants were called stewardesses, and well, any fashionista would be proud to wear this little frock at ground level–even if she can’t tell a 747 from an Airbus.

It’s a smashing (and collectible) find for a vintage fashionista!

Available at The Frippery Vintage Boutique.
