In one research poll on packing, 56% of respondents said they pack “everything but the kitchen sink.” But the more traveling you do, the more you appreciate the advantages of packing light. And I consider myself to be a pretty good packer. I’m leaving on an eight-day trip to the East Coast later today, and I’ll be carrying on–not checking–luggage. Besides avoiding the newly imposed airline baggage fees, when you don’t check luggage, you don’t lose luggage.
