VPOD: Vintage 1970s Turquoise Teardrops Earrings

I spent most of yesterday driving through the desert to Tempe–my first experience with mesas and saguaro cactus and tumbleweeds in this land of the free and home of the brave. It’s simply amazing that such barrenness can be so breathtaking and awe-inspiring.

And since Arizona is known for turquoise, I thought I’d feature this gem as today’s VPOD. These vintage teardrop earrings are from the mid-1970s and have a beautiful simplicity. Plus, since they’re paired with gold instead of the more commonly used sterling silver, they emit a vibe that’s a little less Southwest and a little more mid-town.

And that’s a winning combination for a vintage fashionista!

Available at Beladora.com.
