Kitsch is a term of German origin and while some associate it with art that is in bad taste, it is also used to describe art with popular cultural icons and gimmicks (think an Elvis-shaped cookie jar). This latter definition fits today’s VPOD perfectly.

This colorful plastic handbag dates from the 1950s or 1960s and is quite charming with its stamp print and contemporary illustrations (check out the lovely lass hugging the postman!)

I’ve always felt like fashion rules are more relaxed in Spring/Summer and it’s a time to be more playful with your clothes.
