The phrase “goody two shoes” originated in a children’s book published in 1765. Poor little Goody only owned one shoe so when she was finally given a pair she is so happy she runs around crying out “Two shoes! Two shoes!” Perhaps you get that same feeling of glee when you look at today’s VPOD.

These 1970s platforms are by Goody Two Shoes and are simply amazing! Of course with their 5.75-inch heels, there isn’t a podiatrist alive who would recommend them for everyday wear but…for a few hours…with a killer outfit…on a special occasion…I’ll take the risk.

Or, if you prefer, you can simply put a pair like these in your closet and be like John Travolta. Regarding his platforms from Saturday Night Fever, he told Premiere magazine, “I don’t wear them, but once in a while I peek at them.”

After all, these are quite a collectible find for a vintage fashionista!
