VPOD: Stunnng Lilli Ann

Lilli Ann was founded by Adolf Schuman in 1933 and named after his wife, Lillian. And although his garments were mass-produced for the ready-to-wear market, they are held in high esteem by collectors because of their distinctive quality, craftsmanship, and fabrics, many of which were imported from France.

Even better, the Lilli Ann label provides a huge “bang for the buck,” tending to hold its value over time and offering price tags that should be much higher based on quality. Just one glance at today’s VPOD and you can almost feel an “haute couture” vibe, can’t you? It looks very expensive but can be had for a lot less than you might think (and for not much more than a plain ol’ wool coat at your local department store).

This 1960s Lilli Ann outfit incorporates several fall trends with its bright color, cape detail and fur trim. The little black dress with luscious fur hem has a unique cut-out back and can carry its own at any cocktail soiree. The matching coat is magnificant with 3/4-length fur-trimmed sleeves, a cape overlay and the prettiest rhinestone buttons.

It’s a stunning set for a vintage fashionista!

Available at Monster Vintage.
