VPOD: Seeing Spots

Polka dots first appeared in Britain in the mid to late 19th century–right around the same time as polka music was becoming popular. So this spotted print was actually named after the polka dance.

But you don’t have to know how to polka or even like polka music to appreciate polka dot charm in fashion. Take today’s VPOD for instance.

This 1960s vintage dress features the dots in bold navy with red accent stripes. A slightly flared pleated skirt and cute buttons add more charm.

It’s a spotted delight for a vintage fashionista!

Available at Ballyhoo Vintage.
