VPOD: Re-Boot

I’d generally describe my style as classic but that doesn’t mean I don’t like to have a bit of fun with fashion every now and again. And none of us should ever take fashion too seriously given all the problems in the world today. So along with the ho-hum pumps and must-have black knee-high boots, there’s definitely room in the closet for today’s VPOD.

These 1980s boots announce to the world that that there’s a fun gal hiding behind that buttoned up exterior. That just because you’re growing older doesn’t mean that you’re growing boring.

Blue and purple leather in a cityscape scene with silver leather windows and bronze leather stars. A nice low heel for trekking those city streets or country roads. And enough style to last a long, long time.

What a delicious find for a vintage fashionista!

VPOD: Boot Up

If you’re anything like me then you already have a pair of black knee-high boots in your closet that are a staple during the upcoming months. So this year why not expand your horizons, think outside the box, shake things up a bit with…color.

Choose between a 1960s pair of Herbert Levine crinkled plum vinyl or a pair of 1960s electric blue faux snakeskin. Either is bound to add a dash of excitement to your wardrobe in a really fun way.

They’re a great way to boot up if you’re a vintage fashionista!

Available at Enoki World.

VPOD: Boot-ing Up

It isn’t quite time to pack up the sandals yet, but it is time to maybe start thinking about your fall purchases. And if you only have room in your budget for one piece of footwear this season, then consider an ankle boot. Something like today’s VPOD perhaps?

Yes, the ankle boot is back and I just love this utilitarian piece. Sooo comfy with pants and yet so fashionable with some textured tights when you decide to wear a skirt or dress instead.

These vintage brown ankle boots are by Xavier Denaud and feature a high–make that very high–four-inch heel. They’ll look awesome with jeans, a fall sweater dress, a little plaid skirt and so much more. So maybe they’re not utilitarian enough for an ice storm or blizzard but that still leaves lots of days in between for these boots to do some walking.

They’re the perfect footwear for a vintage fashionista!

Available at Archive Vintage.

VPOD: Boots with Bows

Boots are one of those accessories that can totally change a look. Add a skinny silk turtleneck and boots and a summer sundress heads into fall. Take a dressy dress and add tights and boots and suddenly it’s not so dressy. So every vintage fashionista needs a few pair in the closet and today’s VPOD make a trendy addition.

These vintage 1980s ankle boots feature soft grey leather that folds over in front and ties into sassy bows in the back.

They’re a sporty look for a vintage fashionista!

Available at Adore Vintage.
