Just look at today’s VPOD. These two vintage Bakelite bracelets are simply extraordinary. It’s hard to chose a favorite between the cream and brown bowtie pattern and the marbled brown with dots. And stacked together, boy do they pack a whollop!

Of course, this sophisticated, highly collectible jewelry also carries a big girl price tag.

And they’re rare finds for a vintage fashionista!

VPOD: A Bundle of Bangles

Bakelite, like many scientific finds, was discovered by accident in 1907 by a chemist, Dr. Leo Baekeland. Often called “the material of a thousand uses,” Bakelite was used by Thomas Edison for his gramaphone records, on many luxury ocean liners and, of course, to create some outstanding vintage jewelry.

Today’s VPOD features a trio of faceted Bakelite bangles in juicy colors of lemon, cranberry and lime. The one-inch wide sparkling cuffs are quite substantial and, while each one could be worn alone, they certainly pack a punch when worn together!

They are highly collectible treasures for a vintage fashionista!

Available at Bakelite Boutique.
