VPOD: Colorful Cashin

Bonnie Cashin was recognized with over two dozen industry awards throughout her long and varied career. And while she is identified as a pioneer in the design of American sportswear, it’s interesting to note that she started her career designing for dancers–first for a local ballet troupe and later for the famed Roxy theater–and even applied her talents to the design of practical, comfortable military uniforms for women during WWII.

Today’s VPOD features a fun colorblock lambswool sweater she designed in the 1970s. With its ribbed neck and cropped sleeves, it still looks fresh and contemporary three decades later!

It’s a sensational find for a vintage fashionista!

Available at Retrodress.
