VPOD: Vintage 1970s Abstract Tote Bag

vintage 1970s abstract tote bag

New doesn’t always mean safer or better. Last week, for instance, The Tampa Tribune tested some eco-friendly reusable grocery bags from Publix and Winn-Dixie only to discover that some of them had so much lead they could be considered hazardous waste!

What’s even more frightening is that the bags are considered safe since they comply with current federal laws that regulate lead content. You can read full details on the story here, but in the meantime you may want to start scouting out some fine vintage alternatives like today’s VPOD.

This vintage 1970s collapsible tote bag has a fabulous abstract print and is perfect for carrying around magazines, for picking up a few fruits and veggies for tonight’s dinner or for keeping your current craft project all in one place.

It’s quite the reusable find for a vintage fashionista!

Available at Flower on the Wall Vintage.

I’ve seen a lot of these and this one is fabulous. What a great idea to carry it as a grocery tote.
