VPOD: Vintage 1970s Anne Klein Evening Gown

New Year’s Eve is just a few days away and it’s one of the few nights a year when we non-celebrities can bust out the bling. After all, sparkling dresses and champagne flutes are a match made in heaven. But sparkling dresses that aren’t garish and overdone, well, these can be quite rare.

Enter today’s VPOD. This 1970s Anne Klein column gown is loaded with beads and sequins and pearls in just the right combination. And its celestial-like pattern of planets and stars on a twilight-blue silk evokes a heavenly night sky. Sure it might be heavy to wear, but isn’t that why you work out three times a week?

It’s a true beaded beauty for a vintage fashionista.

Available at Shrimpton Couture.
