It used to be that there were clear distinctions between work wardrobes and weekend wardrobes. Way back when, I remember spending the bulk of my wardrobe dollars on suits and pumps and leather briefcases that would make an impression on the corporate bigwigs. And that left precious little leftover budget to spend on fun attire.

Today, however, there are many more casual office environments and “dress-down” days. Which isn’t to say you can wear just any ol’ thing to the office. No, the smart fashionista knows she’s always making an impression and therefore she chooses classic pieces that can pull a Jekyll and Hyde switcheroo.
