VPOD: Courting Cardin

Imagine for a moment the conversation at lunch when you’re wearing today’s VPOD:

“Wow, I love your dress! Where did you get it?” asks your friend.

“Oh, this ol’ thing? It used to be in a museum!” you reply.

But of course, you’re not joking. This mid-1960s stunner, designed by Pierre Cardin, is a recent museum deaccession. And their loss is your gain. The simple design features the yummiest mushroom grey wool with outstanding top-stitching at the yoke and hem. Black leather buttons and a skinny (non-original) belt complete the look. It’s just perfect for fall layering!

And it’s a divine find for a vintage fashionista!

Available at Antique Dress.
