Way back in the 17th century, only nobility were allowed to wear lace. Now, of course, thanks to Miuccia Prada’s embrace of lace in her fall collection, you can expect to see lace, well…pretty much everywhere this fall.
Which just means that today’s VPOD will be in even higher demand. This luxurious embroidered lace dress from the 1950s bears the coveted Carven label. And the workmanship is truly outstanding with multiple layers of petticoats and linings to create the bouffant skirt.
It’s a lovely lace find for a vintage fashionista!
Available at Heaven of Gowns.
