VPOD: Spring Fling

Mark your calendars ladies. Carrie Bradshaw and the girls will be strutting back down the streets of New York on May 30 when the Sex and the City movie hits theaters. And whether the movie pleases or disappoints, we can all count on Patricia Field’s costume design to inspire trends.

Cynthia Nixon said in a recent interview:

Pat taught us all a lot of about mixing high and low fashion. If you have one article of clothing that’s very expensive, you don’t have to have the whole ensemble and look like a Christmas tree.

Today’s VPOD is one of those “low” fashion pieces that would mix well with a pair of I-totally-couldn’t-afford-them-but-bought-them-anyway heels. This 1970s dress is the sweetest shade of grey with flutter sleeves and a printed floral pattern on the skirt. Plus it’s just crying out for one of your fabulous vintage belts to complete it.

With a price tag under $30, it’s a real bargain for a vintage fashionista!

Available at Femminastyle Vintage.
