My niece is at that age when she’s learning to tell time. She’s struggling a bit with the ol’ hands and face method and can’t understand why she needs to learn it at all when every clock in her environment is digital. She doesn’t even now anyone who wears a watch! So what’s the point?
Well, Morgan, at just eight years old, is a fashionista-in-training. And with the days of the It handbag waning, I believe that we could see the lowly wristwatch become fashion’s next status symbol.
Today’s VPOD is a perfect example. This 1960s bracelet watch is a collaboration between Christian Dior and Bulova. The 14K gold braided band is beautiful all by itself but oh, that hinged cover! It sparkles with 18K gold spires and seven round cut diamonds.
What an elegant find for a vintage fashionista!
