There are plenty of designer tomatoes. For instance, this year you can expect the Strawmato, a tomato-strawberry hybrid, and a green-and-red striped Zebra. But I’m a strictly organic gal–no bio-engineering or genetic alterations for me please. Nope, the only one who gets to mess with my tomatoes, besides my favorite local farmer, is…Lanvin.

This is the kind of designer tomato I’m interested in. At first glance, this late 1970s dress is just a killer maxi with eye-catching colors but then…wait for it…yep, those are tomatoes! I say tomatoes. You say to-mah-toes. Let’s just call the whole thing…
