I noticed there were Back-to-School ads in last Sunday’s newspaper already–a timely reminder that these hot summer days won’t last forever. Now that I live in Los Angeles, the “changing of the closets” isn’t quite the chore it was when I lived in Ohio, but there is still a change of seasons, even out here. Of course, some items, like today’s VPOD, are able to do double duty and can stay in your closet from July through October.

I just love the deep rich earthy tones on this darling vintage skirt. In sandal weather, you can top it with a tank and a wide belt and come cooler temps, add brown tights and a navy blue sweater (or blue tights and a brown sweater for that matter!)
