Perhaps one upside to the economy’s downside is that folks are re-evaluating how, when and where they spend their time and money. We’re re-discovering the value of friends and family instead of worrying about being seen around town with the latest and greatest gadget or with the hippest and hottest bag.
Today’s VPOD is a 1940s wrap halter dress by Claire McCardell that harkens back to a simpler time before we were all plugged in. I can just picture the woman who owned this dress packing a picnic lunch for the family, piling everyone into the car and spending the day connecting with each other instead of connecting with their iPods, Wii’s, or MacBooks.
