VPOD: A Ladylike Lilli Ann Suit

Lillian Schuman must have been one of the best-dressed women in San Francisco back in the day. After all, as Adolph Schuman’s wife, she would have had her pick of all of the beautiful Lilli Ann fashions that his company produced starting in 1933 and continued producing even after his death in 1985.

Today’s VPOD features one of those drool-worthy creations. This classic black suit, while not couture, has a very expensive look and feel. That’s the beauty of the Lilli Ann label–it’s always exceeding expectations. Just look at the tailoring on the architectural jacket with those sculpted shoulders! And the luxurious silver fox fur trim. Not to mention the chic little pencil skirt–a wardrobe staple that could survive plenty of face time without its matching jacket.

What a gorgeous find for a vintage fashionista!

Available from Bustown Modern.
