When you’re petite like me (aka “vertically challenged”), you learn to walk confidently in heels at a very young age and you nurture an affinity for stripes like the ones in today’s VPOD.

This fabulous 1970s evening gown by Pauline Trigere features black-and-white stripes in an abstract design that tease the eye and create the illusion of height. (Of course, I’d still add a rockin’ pair of Manolo Blahnik’s or Christian Louboutin’s for good measure.)
