I find it interesting that there is a 1920s revival happening in fashion right now since the “Roaring 20s” were characterized by optimism and prosperity. Optimism and prosperity? Most of America isn’t feeling too optimistic or prosperous right now. I’m pretty sure that if I had lived in the 1920s I would have been a flapper. Flapper was slang that developed to describe those young women who boldly dressed and behaved in an unconventional manner. Yep, that sounds like me.
