I was interviewed by a blogger on Monday and remember telling him about how I value quality over quantity. The interview was about my blogging experiences and so I was using this reference in response to his question about building a following of loyal readers. (That’s you, by the way!)

But when I got to thinking about it, I realized that I truly do value quality over quality in pretty much every area of my life from relationships to fitness to my living and work environments, and of course, to my wardrobe.

Today’s VPOD is a fine example of the kind of quality I’m talking about and a fine example of why I fell head over heels in love with vintage in the first place.

Just look at the exquisite tailoring on this fabulous 1960s blazer designed by Muriel Reade for Joseph Stein. To find comparable workmanship in a new garment today would cost 2x, 3x, perhaps even as much as 4x more than this beauty!

Yummy chocolate wool. Clean, classic lines. The studded belt. The luxurious Persian lamb trim. There’s quite a quantity of quality here (and try saying that five times fast!)

It’s an exquisite find for a vintage fashionista!
