VPOD: Vintage Robert David Morton Print Jersey Gown

Happy Birthday to Earth Day! This brain child of Senator Gaylord Nelson celebrates its Big 4-0 today, forty years of grass roots protests against what’s happening to our environment. And you can be sure any birthday cakes being served in celebration will be made with ingredients cultivated on sustainable farms and with candles made of soy or beeswax and without zinc or lead wicks!

Perhaps you’ve noticed all the companies jumping on the green bandwagon lately with advertisements and promotions in honor of Earth Day. But just like you dump a boyfriend who might remember your birthday but doesn’t do anything else thoughtful all year, as an eco-aware consumer, you should ask yourself if  companies practice sustainable green efforts all year long or if they’re just capitalizing on Earth Day’s attention to win your business and will go right back to their not-so-green business-as-usual tomorrow.

Here at Zuburbia, we make an effort to be as green as possible all year long. We plant trees with every order. We donate 1% of all sales to help environmental charities in partnership with 1% for the Planet. We minimize packing materials and offer free carbon offset shipping on domestic orders.

And that means you can grab today’s VPOD, a vintage Robert David Morton jersy dress and wear it with a good green conscious. I call this dress “America the Beautiful” for how it evokes images of amber waves of grain, rolling hillsides and other nature images with a groovy vibe and it’s one of my personal favorites.

What a fitting and beautiful Earth Day find for a vintage fashionista!

Available at Zuburbia.
