As my loyal readers know, I’m a H-U-G-E fan of vintage beaded sweaters, especially when they’re made from that uber-soft vintage cashmere of yesteryear. You know what I mean. There’s just something about quality vintage cashmere and velvet that is completely different from what you find on the market today.

And while it’s pretty easy to find these vintage beaded sweaters in black and at pretty reasonable prices, it does require a bit of a search and maybe some luck to find one that is truly unique and has that extra-special something that makes me want to add it to my growing collection.

P.S.   My all-time favorite product for caring for my vintage beaded sweaters is Eucalan. Forget the dry-cleaning, ladies. Your sweaters will turn out softer when you wash them in Eucalan because its lanolin acts as a natural fabric softener. Plus, since it’s biodegradable, uses recycled packaging and helps reduce water use by 50% over regular washing, it’s much more eco-friendly—and way less expensive— than even the most eco-friendly dry-cleaning around.
