Herve Leger believed that there were two types of fashion consumers: the fashion victims, who adopted the looks of the designers without thinking, and the women who refused to be feminine clothes hangars. He, of course, designed for the latter.
And perhaps his most famous design was the bandage dress which saw a revival this past season. It seems like every young celebrity (and a few older ones as well) have been sporting these unforgiving frocks on red carpets everywhere. There’s nothing quite like an original, however, so take a look at today’s VPOD.
This 1994 Herve Leger couture dress is the palest shade of powder blue. A masterful cut, it has bands and straps in all the right places. (And should come with a warning label to advise against wearing unless all your bumps and bulges are under control.)
It’s an uber-sexy find for a vintage fashionista!
Available at Rare Vintage.
