VPOD: Impressive Impressionism

In the 1950s and 1960s if you wanted to wear classic American fashion but with the superb craftsmanship found in Italy, you turned to one company–Goldworm. This knitwear company, founded in New York, has been awarded the prestitious Coty Award, the Editorial Fashion Award by Glamour magazine and the Premio Mercurio d’Oro, one of Italy’s highest busines awards.

One glance at today’s VPOD shows what all the fuss is about. This jersey print dress from the 1960s combines an impressionistic boat scene with Greek patterning around the collar, waist and cuffs.

It’s unusual and yet oh-so-class at the same time. A perfect dress for a vintage fashionista!

Available at Circa Vintage.
